One killed in Naogaon road accident

NAOGAON, Feb 26 (UNB): A man was killed after being hit by a picnic bus in Dhamoirhat upazila of Naogaon, police said on Thursday.

The accident occurred on Wednesday at around 7:00 am at Biharinagar Mor in the upazila.

The deceased, Kamal Hossain, 45, was the son of Yad Ali from Uttar Chakjadu village in Dhamoirhat upazila. He ran a photocopy shop in the area.

Shahadat Hossain, station officer of Dhamoirhat Fire Service, said, "A speeding Hanif bus hit a motorcycle and fled the scene. Upon receiving the news, we rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Kamal Hossain."

Raisul Islam,OC of Dhamoirhat Police Station, said, "The body of Kamal Hossain has been brought to the police station. Legal action is being taken regarding the incident."
