Rajshahi, Faridpur, Laxmipur road crashes kill five

A total of five persons were killed in separate road accidents in Rajshahi, Faridpur and Laxmipur districts on Monday, reports BSS.

In Rajshahi, three people, including two women, were killed and three others sustained injuries in a truck-ambulance collision in Rajabari area on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway under Godagari upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as driver of an ambulance Jafar Iqbal Jewel, 45, and its passengers Sundari Rani, 65, also a cardiac patient, and Aduri Rani, 38, of Godagari upazila, police said.

In Fardpur, a man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Sankhali area under Madhukhali upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Matin, 32, a resident of Sreepur upazila in Magura district.

In Laxmipur, a man was killed in a road accident in Hazirhat area of Sadar upazila here on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Monir Hossain, 45, a raw material trader and son of Khorshed Alam, a resident of Ramgati upazila.
