Students of Rajshahi Nursing College formed a human chain in front of the college on Tuesday to realise their four-point demand — FE Photo RAJSHAHI, July 09: The students of Rajshahi Nursing College staged demonstration and formed a human chain in front of the institution on Tuesday morning aiming at realising their four-point demand.
The demands include - continuation of old syllabus, introduction of separate cadre service like BCS for nursing students, increase in intern allowance to Tk 20,000 from Tk6,000 per month and increase in sub-stipend to Tk 5,000 from Tk 2,000 per month and creation of posts of clinical practice nurse for all nursing colleges and turning all nursing colleges into complete graduate nursing colleges.
The human chain programme was presided over by Mehedi Hasan Sumon, President of Nursing College Student's Welfare Association while it was addressed, among others, by Jannatul Naim, General Secretary of the association, Mehedi Hasan, organising secretary of the association and Ashikul Islam Ashik, Organising Secretary of Bangladesh Basic Graduate Student Nurses Association, Rajshahi.
