Two persons were killed in separate accidents in Rajshahi and Tangail districts on Monday, reports BSS.
In Rajshahi, two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between two motorbikes in Debipur Panchpir area under Tanore upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Zahid Alam, 38, and Palash, 26, residents of Shiroil Colony in Rajshahi city.
The accident took place around 3:00 pm on the Tanore-Mundumala road when the two motorbikes collided head-on, leaving two bike riders dead on the spot and two others injured, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Tanore Police Station.
In Tangail, an electricity lineman was killed and another injured when a truck hit their motorcycle at Kuthiboya Bazar intersection under Bhuiyanpur upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mahbub Alam, 25, a resident of Bosubari village in Gopalpur upazila of the district.
In another incident in Tangail, an electrical lineman was killed and another was critically injured when a BRTC truck ran over their motorcycle at Kuthiboya Bazar intersection in Arjana Union of the upazila on Tarakandi-Bhuiyanpur regional highway on Monday.
The deceased was identified as as Mahbub Alam, 25, but the identity of the injured could not be known.
In Meherpur, a student was killed and his uncle injured as a truck hit their motorbike at Abubpur under Gangni upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md. Taimuzzaman, 09, a second-grade student, and son of Md. Maharuzzaman, resident of Stadium Para in the district town.
