Regent Airways launches second flight to Saidpur

NILPHAMARI, Jan 31: Regent Airways has spread its wings further in the northern region adding its second flight to Saidpur which is being conducted daily.

With this latest flight of the Regent Airways total number of flights of all the Airlines has increased up to nine flights daily.

Managing Director of Saidpur Airport Saheen Ahamed said out of the airlines Novo Air conducting three flights, US Bangla Airlines three, Bangladesh Biman one and Regent Airways two flights daily which comprise a total of nine flights operated daily from Saidpur airport of Nilphamari district.

Sources said number of passengers from the airport is increasing at a huge pace and the travellers have to be in a hurry to collect tickets from here.

The airport provides air travel facility to entire Rangpur division and a part of Rajshahi division also.

Sources said development schemes has been undertaken to expand the runway of the airport to turn it into an international airport connecting the sub regional countries of India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Sources said modernisation and expansion works would be completed very soon and feasibility study is going on to introduce night landing of flights in the airport also.
