Road accident kills one in Kurigram

KURIGRAM, May 08 (BSS): A man was killed in a road accident on the Kurigram-Rangpur highway in Kaunia Buri Bridge area of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sohrab Hossain Chad, 55, former chairman of Buraburi union under Ulipur upazila of the district.

Kaunia Thana Police said the accident occurred when a passengers bus hit Sohrab's motorcycle from behind in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, Kaunia police handed over the body to Kurigram Zila Chairman Md Zafar Ali.
