A total of six people were died in separate road accidents across the country in the last two days, report agencies.
In Magura, an Indian national was killed and four others injured as a microbus overturned on the Magura-Jessore Road on Sunday morning.
The Indian national was identified as Mohammad Islam, 33, was an inhabitant in Darbhanga in the state Bihar.
Police said the accident occurred in Vitasier area in central Bangladesh early morning in dense fog. The driver of the microbus lost his control over steering wheel. Mohammad Islam died on the spot. The injured people were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital. Among the injured two people are Indian. They are Altaf and Rahomot. They were heading towards Benapole boarder.
The body was sent to the hospital for autopsy.
In Chapainawabganj, an old man was crushed under the wheels of a truck at Rashiknagar under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased is identified as Montaj Ali, 75, son of Reshamtullah of Kamlakantapur under Chatrajitpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district.
Police and local sources said, as Montaj was crossing the road atRashiknagar on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway at around 12-30pm, a Sonamasjid bound truck crushed him under its wheels killing him on the spot.
The killer truck fled away, the sources added.
Meanwhile, in Bagerhat, a bus from Dhaka collided head on with a Khulna-bound pickup van near to Dharer Bridge in the Sadar upazila around 5:30am on Saturday, leaving three people injured, said Katakhali Highway police inspector Azizul Haque.
The injured were taken to the Khulna Medical College Hospital where the injured Mizan Halder, and Al Amin, succumbed to their injuries around 11:30am.
Meanwhile, another accident took place around 11:30am when a Bagerthat-bound Hanif Paribahan bus collided head on with another one from opposite direction in Barakpur area in Sadar upazila, leaving seven people injured.
The injured were taken to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where doctors declared one of the injured Mukul dead.
In Satkhira, the accident took place around 9:00am as a goods-laden truck ran over a bicycle riding by Akbar in the area on Saturday, leaving Akbar Ali Gazi dead on the spot, said Abdul Momin, sub-inspector of Kaliganj Police Station.
Later, police with the help of locals seized the truck.
Besides, in Kurigram, at least nine people, including eight freedom fighters, were injured as a human hauler collided head on with an auto-rickshaw in Durgapur area of Ulipur upazila in the morning.
The injured were taken to Kurigram Hospital and later, freedom fighter Abu Yusuf Sarkar, 70, was sent to the Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.
