Schoolboy drowns in Fatikchhari

A schoolboy drowned while taking a bath in a pond at Fatikchhari upazila of the district Thursday, reports BSS.

The deceased was Md. Nahidul Islam, 15, son of Kamal Uddin of Notun Bazar area under Bagan Bazar union of the upazila and a student of class X at Bagan Bazar High School.

Nahid went to the pond near the school for taking bath with his classmates after school at around 04:00 pm.

After bathing, the others got up, but he could not get up and his friends tried to rescue him but failed.
