SHMC construction nears completion

TANGAIL, Oct 16: The construction of Sheikh Hasina Medical College (SHMC) in the district is nearing completion.

An official said, "Construction of the fifteen-storey building has already completed. Now the interior work is going on."

The Tangail General Hospital was upgraded as medical college in 2015.

Later, the construction of the government-run medical college began.

Manager of the project Ziaur Rahman said most of the work of the medical college hospital has been completed. The project will be handed over to the authority by the end of the current year.

Grassroots people in and around the area will get a better healthcare facility after the college construction is complete.
