Sirajganj, Jhenaidah road crashes kill three

A total of three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Jhenaidah districts on Tuesday, reports BSS.

In Sirajganj, an elderly man and his son were killed and another son was injured in a road accident in front of Nur Jahan Hotel in Chariya Madhyapara area under Salanga Police Station of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Mannan Khandaker, 70, and his son Jewel Khandaker, 35, resident of Purnabera village.

The accident took place on the Hatikumrul-Banpara highway early Tuesday when a truck hit an auto-rickshaw, leaving its two passengers dead .

In Jhenaidah, a motorcyclist was killed and another injured when a pickup van hit their motorbike in Baluhar area under Kotchandpur upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was Shafiqul Islam, 19, a resident of Azampur village in Maheshpur upazila of the district.
