Speakers for ensuring quality of SME products

KHULNA, Jan 29 (BSS): Speakers at a seminar on Monday stressed the need for ensuring quality of SME products to face global challenges and open market economy.

They also underscored flourishing Small entrepreneurs (SME) commodities.

The seminar on 'Important, Problem and Probability of Local Products to Small and Medium Industry' was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner's office, Khulna.

Khulna District Administration, SME Foundation, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industry (BSIC), Khulna Chamber and Commerce Industry (KCCI) and Bangladesh Bank of Khulna Branch jointly organised the seminar.

Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Amin-ul-Ahsan presided over the event.

Associate Professor of Business Administration School at Khulna University SM Arifuzzaman presented the keynote paper at the seminar.

The speakers said women should come forward to become entrepreneurs in the SME sector and SME Foundation should play a vital role to increase women entrepreneurs.

Once women had to pass their days with extreme anxiety and frustration over running their businesses due to financial crisis, but now they are doing better in business.
