Teenager dies in Chandpur market fire

CHANDPUR, Dec 27 (BSS): A 15-year-old boy died in a fire that broke out at Sahar Bazar in Subidpur union under Faridganj upazila of the district on Saturday morning, leaving five business establishments gutted.

The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, a resident of Chhayal Bari in Shaldah village.

According to the Fire Service, the blaze broke out around 10:00 am, reportedly due to an electrical short circuit at Joynal's grocery shop. The fire quickly spread to adjacent establishments in the market.

The shops damaged in the incident include Imam Hossain's Pharmacy, Nazrul's Fish Food Shop, Zahir's Workshop, Rubel's Bicycle Garage, and Shah Alam's Hardware Shop.
