Trucks kill two at Santahar, Boalmari

BOGRA, Dec 19 (BSS): A bicyclist was killed as truck hit him at Santahar in Adamdighi Upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mojahar Ali Paloan, 65, was a resident at Chatian village of the Upazila.

Police said the accident took place in Hobir Mor area in Santahar town afternoon. Mojahar Ali Paloan died on the spot. Police seized the truck. The body was sent to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

Meanwhile, UNB adds: In Faridpur, a human hauler driver was killed in an accident as his vehicle collided with a truck at Kanaipur-Chitarbazar road in the district on Tuesday. The deceased was Md. Obaidur Rahman, 35, son of Panchu Sheikh hailing from East Bhatdi village of Boalmari upazila. According to the locals, the human hauler turned upside down immediately after the collision around 11:30am in Bhatdi Bazar area of Boalmari upazila killing Obaidur on the spot.

Azizul Mallik, a passenger of the same vehicle was injured and was rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The dead body was sent to the morgue, said Officer-in-Charge of Boalmari Police Station, Mizanur Rahman

Police detained the truck driver and seized the truck, added the OC.
