Two-day science fair begins in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, June 20 (BSS): Rajshahi Divisional Science and Technology Fair, 2019 under the auspices of Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner's Office, began here today aimed at infusing interest in youths about science and technology.

The two-day fair is being held at Rajshahi College auditorium in association with Science and Technology Development Trust.

The main objective of the fair is to encourage the young scientists towards more innovation alongside flourishing their latent talents and building a science-minded and knowledge-based society, officials said.

Some 42 institutions and science organisations and clubs from eight districts and Rajshahi metropolis are taking part in the fair displaying their scientific and ICT related innovations.

Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman addressed the inaugural session as the chief guest while Additional Divisional Commissioner Zakir Hossain was in the chair.

Deputy Director of Local Government Division Parvej Raihan, Social Worker Shaheen Akter Rainy and Vice Principal of Rajshahi College Prof Abdul Khaleque also spoke.
