Two-day winter festival begins at BRUR

RANGPUR, Jan 29 (BSS): A two-day Winter Festival-1432, organised by the students of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), began at the university's Independence Memorial Square on Thursday.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali formally inaugurated the festival by cutting a ribbon at a colourful ceremony held on the campus. His wife Mahmuda Akhter attended the event as a guest of honour.

In his inaugural speech, the Vice-Chancellor said such initiatives play an important role in introducing traditional Bengali folk culture to the younger generation.
