Two die from electrocution in Rangpur, Panchagarh

RANGPUR, Aug 28 (BSS): Two persons, including Headmaster of a primary school and a limestone trader, were electrocuted at different places of Rangpur and Panchagarh districts on Tuesday, police said.

In Rangpur, Headmaster Taznur Rahman, 35, of Kanchabari Chhohironer Danga Registered Primary School under Badarganj upazila in Rangpur district met his tragic end after being electrocuted while repairing electric cables at his home this morning.

"Taznur Rahman, son of Amir Uddin, hailed from Kanchabari Noyapara village under Lohanipara union of Badarganj upazila," said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Badarganj Police Station Md Anisur Rahman.

In another incident, a limestone trader was electrocuted while switching on his domestic water lifting pump at home in Kaurgoach village near Bhajanpur area under Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district in the morning.

"The deceased was identified as Aliar Rahman, 45, son of late Mofiz Uddin of the same village," OC of Tentulia Police Station Mohammad Jahirul Islam told the news agency over cell phone.
