Two die in Narsingdi road crashes

NARSINGDI, Mar 06 (BSS): Two people, including a school teacher, were killed and three others were injured in a road accident in Baduachar Bridge area of Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Fatema Tuz-Zohora, 25, teacher of Panchabati Government Primary School of the upazila and a resident of Puranpara area in district town and Bashir Miah, 28, of the same area.

Police said the accident occurred when a sand-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto rickshaw in the area at about 9am, leaving auto rickshaw passenger Fatema dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where Bashir was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition was deteriorated. Bashir succumbed to his injuries on way to DMCH, police said.
