Two minor siblings burned to death in Bogura

BOGURA, Feb 19 (UNB): Two children were burned to death in a fire that broke out at their house in Bhutmari village under Dhunat upazila of Madaripur district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Siyam Hossain, 5, and Mostakim Ali, 3, -- sons of Liton Mia.

Hamidul Islam, team leader of Dhunat Fire Service, said that the siblings died before the fire service team reached the spot after being called from 999. According to locals, the fire was caused by an electric short circuit, he added. Robiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dhunat Police Station, said that a police team visited the spot.
