Youth dies in Laxmipur road crash

LAXMIPUR, May 22 (BSS): A youth was killed in a road accident near LM Pilot High School in Raipur upazila of the district on Thurs morning.

The deceased was identified as Raihan Hossain, 24, son of Siraj Sarder, a resident of Ward No-3 of Raipur Municipality.

The accident took place on the Raipur-Chandpur highway around 11 am when a truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction, leaving its rider Raihan injured critically, said Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Raipur Police Station.

Later, locals rescued him and took to the Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
