Youth injured in Khulna attack, dies

KHULNA, Apr 07 (UNB): A youth who was injured in an attack by some miscreants in Khulna district died at Khulna Medical College Hospital on Monday.

The deceased was Palash, a resident of Motlaber Moor area of the city.

According to hospital sources, Palash was brought to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment on Sunday night and breathed his at around 8:15 am on Monday.

Miscreants attacked Palash with sharp weapons at the Eid fair organised at the United Nations Children's Park at Shantidham More in Khulna, leaving him seriously wounded.

Drives were conducted in various areas to arrest the assailants but no one was detained or arrested in connection with this incident, said Khulna Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hawlader Sanwar Hossain Masum.

The victim's body will be handed over to the family after legal formalities, the OC said.
