‘Adieu, the Editor’

I have just finished reading a piece of tribute to A.H.M Moazzem Hossain by Mr Shahiduzzaman Khan published on August 05 in the Financial Express. I feel really impressed.

Unfortunately, I did not know Mr Hossain very well. As far as I can recall, we shook hands and exchanged verbal greetings only twice. Still I always felt that I had a friend in him, a sort of guardian angel, looking over my shoulder and after my interests, especially regarding my campaign aimed at abolishing corporal punishment in schools and madrassahs across Bangladesh. All of my submissions to the Financial Express over the period of past eight years were published. And I felt honoured on every occasion.

I found the tribute to Mr Hossain very insightful, educational, entertaining and abundantly rewarding.
