Beauty of online shopping

What is the easiest way of shopping today? The answer is straight enough-- online shopping. One can easily find one's desired product at some local website, pay through credit or debit card or do purchase on home-delivery of the product. The products can be anything-- from daily necessities to luxury articles to even services.
But how did online shopping start? It was introduced and pioneered by Michael Aldrich in the United Kingdom (UK). In 1979, he connected a modified domestic television via a telephone line to a real time multi-user transaction processing computer. A year later, he began to market the system to businesses. The system was installed in the UK, Ireland and Spain. There were a number of significant new applications in holiday travels, vehicle and spares sales, loan finance, and credit ratings. These applications and others moved to the internet in the 1990s. Some of Aldrich's systems were operational till 2000.
Online shopping is getting very popular day by day. It is a very convenient process. We can easily choose a product, provide the specifications, colour and other details and pay the amount. Because of online shopping, buyers do not have to waste valuable time, money and energy by going to the shopping malls or markets. In a country like ours, especially in big cities, the best that it offers is that we do not have to negotiate the chaotic and extremely time-consuming road traffic.
