Break the LPG syndicate
January 05, 2026 00:00:00
The rampant control of syndicates in the country's gas sector has become a serious source of hardship for ordinary citizens. Despite repeated promises of uninterrupted residential supply, the reality is different. In many households, especially during crucial morning and evening hours, gas burners go cold, disrupting daily life. Yet consumers are forced to pay full bills regardless of actual supply, a practice that hits middle- and lower-income families hardest.
Meanwhile, dishonest traders continue to profit from an artificially created gas crisis. Cylinder gas prices are rising alarmingly, adding further pressure on households already burdened by inflation.
It is high time the government took decisive steps to dismantle these syndicates and restore order. Ensuring transparency, accountability, strict monitoring, and exemplary punishment is essential to protect consumer rights and rebuild public trust. Immediate coordinated action can guarantee fair distribution and provide relief to millions of households across the country.
