BTRC should allow one second pulse rate

Uniform mobile call rates have increased the cost of mobile subscribers -- especially for those in rural areas. Now they are being forced to pay nearly double of what they used to pay.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) fixed a flat rate of Tk 0.45 a minute as minimum charge for a local voice call. Earlier, it was Tk 0.25 a minute for calls made to numbers of the same carrier (on-net) and Tk 0.60 for calls to subscribers of a different mobile operator (off-net). There was a 10-second pulse earlier. But now even if a customer talks for less than 10 seconds, he will end up paying for a minute. The rule is not safeguarding the interest of subscribers.
I hope the BTRC will reconsider this move. They can consider one-second pulse facility so that cost does not increase too much for the users.
