Cheers for Messi

Lionel Messi has inspired his team Argentina and took them to the dream semi final of the World Cup football after a gap of twenty-four years and it is indeed inspiring. I have this feeling that this time Messi will be able to do what Maradona did for Argentina in 1986. Messi and Argentina have a huge fan following. I sometimes wonder how baby faced Messi can become so lethal in the battle field of football. The world is watching eagerly to see Messi magic in the semi final and so far he has not disappointed the football lovers of the world.

When big games of Argentina and Brazil start, we see the roads of our city become suddenly quiet even at 10 O' clock in the night. We believe same scene prevails in countries across the world. Surely we need a Messi-like inspiration who will encourage our young to work hard and bring glory for themselves and their motherland. Many young Argentina fans have not seen the magic of Maradona, but now they can see the reflection of Maradona in Messi. The World Cup football has created a magical world for the people of Bangladesh. We are enthralled and mesmerised by the thrill and beauty of football. Long live football.
