Curbing environmental damage

A country should have 25 per cent forest to ensure environment balance. In this regard, Bangladesh does not have the proper amount of required forest.
This is why tree plantation has become very important in order to keep our ecological balance intact. Every year, natural disasters like floods, storms, cyclones, drought and others destroy many trees. Only observing tree plantation day is not enough. We must follow it throughout the year.
As our population increases, we are cutting down more tree to give space to the burgeoning population. Trees give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and protect the world's wildlife. They also ensure balance of the ecosystem and provide us with the materials for tools and shelter. We should all plant more trees and nurture them.
