Domestic aids deserve better

WE often read in newspapers about torture of domestic helps by cruel housewives. Most often the victims are minors who are unable to protect themselves. As conscious citizens you and I have a role to play here. We should raise our voice against such crimes. Our religious leaders can help create awareness among the people as they have great influence over them. The print and visual media are now stronger than before and can play an effective role in this respect. We must make sure those who are working at our houses are treated with respect and honour.
