Excitement brewing for 14th Asia Cup

The 14th Asia Cup tournament is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 15 till 28. Bangladesh will play in Group B. The other teams in that group are Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. In Group A, India, Pakistan and Hong Kong will fight for Super Four stage. The top two teams of the Super Four session will play each other in the final.

The India-Pakistan encounter will be held on September 19. India is the defending champion. But Team India will not have their star Virat Kohli with them, this time. Apart from the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council taking part in this tournament, Hong Kong will join the tournament for the first time. The Hong Kong team gained the opportunity after winning the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier.

Bangladesh will be facing Sri Lanka in their first match. Both Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are two very strong teams. So, the tigers will face strong competition during the tournament in Group B matches. I am sure Mashrafee and his boys are raring to go and show their best in the tournament.
