Fast-track government projects

The government of Bangladesh considers a good number of projects as 'fast track' or in its priority list. Among the projects are Metro Rail, Padma Bridge and others. It is great that the government has taken these mega-projects under fast track. Once these are implemented, these will benefit the nation significantly.

However, often reports in the media highlight that some of the fast-track projects are under review for time extension. This time extension will gradually decrease the implementation pace of the projects making them more expensive. The stakeholders lose the tempo when they see any project not being implemented on time.

I, therefore, would like to urge the government to implement the fast-track projects on time in a bid to help unlock the economic potentials of the projects. Taking up such steps will also indicate promptness of the government in taking the country forward.
