Green HRM for Bangladesh

Green Human Resource Management is a relatively new agenda in management and HRM literatures. Green HRM practices include using lowest number of paper for all HR functions on daily basis like recruitment and selection, training, performance review and more in a bid to create a sustainable and environment-friendly workplace. The two essential elements of Green HR are environment-friendly HR practices and the preservation of knowledge capital.
Bangladeshi firms should adopt green HRM practices to preserve natural environment, ensure healthy working environment, gain competitive advantage by ensuring corporate social responsibility, reduce intervention from the government and any other law enforcing agencies, develop eco-friendliness and environmental learning among employees, maximise use of resources, save cost and strengthen company image. With proper understanding and implementation of green HR practices, any firm can improve its social and organisational performance in a sustainable manner.
