Modality of distribution of vaccine

Despite global politics with coronavirus vaccine, we hope Bangladesh will access the preventive medicine as soon it is developed. Bangladesh's political stand that such vaccine should be considered common resources of the mankind, is also appreciable. We saw reports on possible allocation of money required for bringing in the vaccine.

However, we need to make sure that our national health system can handle the issue of equitable distribution of vaccine. India has reportedly taken a move to prioritise use of vaccine, starting with frontline health professionals and workers, the policemen and elderly citizens. Bangladesh can take preparations on how to further refine the plan to distribute vaccine if and when it is available. We can also utilise our successful experience in the past in addressing such issues.
