Music on headphones

December 24, 2017 00:00:00

IF we look around us on the road, we see many young gentlemen and ladies with earphones glued to their ears. It is needless to say that if these people are doing so while walking along or crossing the roads it could turn out to be extremely fatal. We must understand that walking along the road and strolling in a park are not the same. While we can walk in a park with a leisurely attitude, it is possible to do so in a city with a reputation of being one of the craziest hubs of perennial traffic congestion. Most of the city footpaths are either occupied by small traders and hawkers or by car drivers who consider them as free parking slots. So the pedestrians have very little room on the pavements to walk and they often go down to the roads to walk. But using the headphone in such a situation is like an open invitation for troubles. Nowadays as everyone has a phone and every one has to come out for work it should be made mandatory that nobody can use headphones while walking on the road. They should stop somewhere on the pavement and continue their conversation. It is high time we stop neglecting safety measures and prevent possibilities of unwanted accidents. We should remember that prevention is better than cure.
