Mustafiz, Mahmudullah keep the dream alive

Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman showed his class and magic in the last over of the Bangladesh-Afghanistan Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2018 on September 23. He gave only four runs to the Afghans when they required eight to win the match.

It was a do-or-die match for both the teams and thus was an exciting affair. Afghanistan has been playing well throughout this Asia Cup. They gave a real scare to Pakistan the other day and lost the game against Bangladesh at the last moment. It was Mahmudullah's timely 74 runs that helped Bangladesh post 249/7 in stipulated 50 over. The middle-order batsman earned the Player-of-the-Match award after he also took a wicket and had a great catch.

Let's hope Bangladesh plays a better game against Pakistan on September 25. Pakistan is likely to have its confidence low after suffering twin defeats to archrival India. Well done, Mustafizur and Mahmudullah! Hope to see you inspiring Bangladesh to play positive cricket in the remaining matches of the tournament.
