Question-paper leakers throw challenge

February 12, 2018 00:00:00

LOOKS like those behind question-paper leaks are quite powerful as they have thrown a challenge to the government. Sadly the government is not being able to counter the challenge and the crime is going on unabated. It is a frightful situation that has cast a gloom over the entire education sector. Most people are found wondering about the state of affairs in public exams and each one of them is now anxious to find a way out. I am sure it is also a matter of grave concern for the government too, but its failure to face up to the challenge is alarming as well as embarrassing.

The government must come down hard on the perpetrators of this abject crime and give them exemplary punishment to prevent any further recurrence of the incident. It should not be difficult for Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) and law enforcing agencies to locate the criminals who have been posting question papers on the Facebook one after another. Our law enforcing agencies have shown great agility in identifying the extremists by tracking their mobile numbers and bringing them to justice. We think that the government should take the incidents of question paper leakages as a matter of challenge against it and wage an uncompromising war on the perpetrators until they are eradicated from society.
