Reckless dumping of wastes

More than 30,000 tonnes of plastic wastes are dumped into four rivers surrounding the capital Dhaka, according to a survey report.
Rivers and other water bodies are full of such wastes all over the country, and our entire generation is waiting for an environmental disaster. Littering of used facemasks, gloves and other materials that may be infected with coronavirus has also created added risks. It seems that the issue of environmental disaster has lost any appeal.
