Reducing the RU entrance test fee

The recently imposed entrance test fee by authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) is currently being discussed in social and electronic media. Many students and their guardians have expressed their discontent and concerns about the entrance test fee.

In recent years, securing a seat in a public university, like Dhaka University and others, in the country has almost become an unattainable dream for many candidates.

The higher entrance test fee imposed by the authorities of RU will be a burden for candidates and second time test-takers.

A large number of such candidates come from the remotest areas of the country. They have to pay for transportation, food and accommodation while coming for tests. It would be difficult for them to participate in entrance tests after bearing the cost of entrance test fee alongside these expenses.

The RU authorities should decrease the entrance test fee to a nominal amount.
