Sohel Rana, an unsung hero

The injured firefighter Sohel Rana, who tried to save people from FR Tower blaze, breathed his last in a Singapore hospital on Monday. While rescuing people trapped in the Banani FR Tower fire on March 28, Sohel sustained severe injuries.

His death reminds us that there are still many people who are ready to die to save others from danger.

Sohel Rana joined the Fire Service and Civil Defence as a fireman four years ago. He had been helping her parents and younger brothers financially, and now he is gone. He sacrificed his life for a greater cause. He is an unsung hero.

We need to take precautionary measure so that life like Sohel Rana is not lost. I believe the family of the deceased will be compensated.

Sohel Rana will live in our hearts.
