Stand by street children
December 29, 2024 00:00:00
As winter approaches, the plight of poor people, especially that of street children, becomes increasingly alarming. They often find refuge on the pavements along the roads, overlooked by the passing crowds. This is their reality. It is our moral duty to stand by them and extend a helping hand.
Children are an integral part of our society. During winter, their plight becomes even more heartrending. They lack the financial means to buy warm clothes. On foggy winter nights, they suffer greatly, with some succumbing prematurely to the harsh cold. Such sights move us deeply. Therefore, we can make a difference by distributing warm clothes, providing food, offering shelter, raising public awareness, and ensuring access to education.
As winter approaches, many of us are well-prepared to face it. However, from a humanitarian perspective, it is our moral obligation to offer support to street children. Simple acts of kindness, such as providing warm clothes or other essentials, can save many young lives. Let us stand by them and make their winter tolerable.
