Stopping corruption

When Bangladesh has been a global role model for its development attainments, the country's common people are getting frustrated with poor medi-care services. They face problems in getting services at government offices. People are going abroad for availing of medicare facilities. On the other hand, money is being siphoned off by illegal casinos operators. Questionable earnings by vested quarters in the healthcare sector remain untaxed in most cases.
Meanwhile, many educated youth are not getting jobs. Some find jobs taking undue privilege. It is sad to know that a Master's degree holder is offered Tk 15,000 a month. There are irregularities in the banking sector which needs reforms. The country's share market, too, should be freed from those who earlier tried to manipulate. A section of teachers of public universities hardly take classes and rather concentrate on teaching elsewhere and consultancy services.
Corruption at different sectors has increased in such a proportion that it is about to threaten our achievements so far. It is essential to prevent corruption not only to attain goals of development but also to sustain the already achieved high economic growth.
