Stopping teenage gangs
September 09, 2019 00:00:00
The law enforcement personnel detained from the city's Hatirjheel areas more than 100 teenagers for their alleged involvement in gang culture and even crimes. It is a matter of concern that teenagers are seen driving cars, motorcycles at high speed, endangering their lives and those of others. That means, some parents fail to guide their growing sons and daughters.
In fact, the rise of teenage gangs in different areas, as reported by the media, has given a wake-up call for taking more care of our children through motivation and proper law enforcement if there is any incident. Apart from creating proper learning atmosphere in their surroundings, we should provide teenagers with recreational facilities and encourage them to take part in various social and creative activities. Unless we take remedial measures right now and build future leaders, our society will head for a disaster.
