Supporting one flood victim

September 14, 2020 00:00:00

Amid fear, risks and economic challenges of Covid-19 pandemic in Bangladesh, the recent floods have somehow missed attention of people living away from the affected areas. These floods have caused huge damage to crops and property as almost half the country was inundated. People in the flood-hit areas are suffering from many problems of life including crisis of shelter, want of foods and medicine and shortage of supports to resume economic activities.

In such a situation, there is an urgent need for providing the affected people a variety of supports. The authorities concerned, charity organisations, philanthropists and affluent people of the country may offer assistance. It may be cash, clothes, household materials, and seeds that should be given to them. If one can help only a family or a person, it is a lot. Some groups can collect donation for the flood-affected people.
