Technology advancing, morality declining

In this modern era, there is no doubt that modernity has greatly enriched our knowledge. It has also revealed the vast potential of human beings that once remained hidden. At the same time, we have begun to enjoy the benefits of this scientific age. It offers not only efficiency but also practical wisdom. However, the question remains: despite such rapid advancement, why is there a noticeable decline in human values?

Behind this there are many factors contributing to the decline of moral values. First and foremost, the overuse of social media platforms is a major contributor, as it directly influences human thinking. Gradually, people are losing their ethical standards, as these platforms are often filled with negative content, illegal activities, misinformation, and social conflict. Another factor is the lack of awareness regarding time management. This is an unfortunate reality. When we become absorbed in the internet, we tend to drift away from real-life experiences. Moreover, it often leads to social and mental disturbances, such as loss of concentration, mental anxiety, and reduced productivity. One cannot ignore the devastating impact of modern weaponry; nuclear weapons, for instance, have the potential to destroy human civilisation.

Is this truly an act of humanity? The key point is that the use of technology depends on how people choose to use it. While it offers numerous benefits, it can also distort thinking and weaken our connection with reality.

The primary responsibility lies in self-reflection. Before taking any action, individuals should ask themselves: "Am I doing the right thing?" A clear conscience does not justify wrongdoing. At the same time, parents must guide and supervise their children, as they are the future leaders of the nation. Furthermore, awareness about the proper use of technology must be increased so that people can understand its broader implications. Above all, it is the need of the hour that a collective effort be made by conscious citizens, parents, and responsible individuals to address this issue.
