The wall of humanity

There are writings on many walls in Dhaka city with a request to leave unnecessary belongings for the needy people. It is a good initiative. Many of us have extra clothes or items, we do not know what to do with those, and we will be glad to get rid of those.

Manobotar Dewaal - the wall of humanity is a social programme. Currently it is active in Dhanmondi, Kakrail and Rampura. It captured people's attention on social media through its innovative way to help people in need.

The media report that the wall of humanity initiative was first introduced in 2015 by Yasmin Akhtar, the headmistress of Arpara Primary Model School in Magura. She named it "Mohanubhobotar Dewaal" (the wall of generosity).

I hope we will see more initiatives like the wall of humanity across the country as it will help us build a caring and just society for every citizen.
