Thrift shopping gaining currency
June 26, 2022 00:00:00
Buying gently used items at a discounted price is called thrifting. It is gradually becoming a new norm across the world particularly in the matter of using clothes and accessories. Bangladesh, too, has its fair share of second-hand retailers. But there are some people who are not keen on using second-hand items. They point out hygiene and other issues. To address these concerns, thrift stores wash clothes and do repairs if needed to restore the quality of the pieces.
Thrifting is a great way to not just save money but also allow people to buy even branded clothes cheaply. There are some Bangladesh-based thrift shops on Facebook and Instagram, which collect second-hand clothes and sell them. If you are interested, you can try this out.
