Tigers' One-Day series against Lanka

July 10, 2019 00:00:00

Bangladesh ended its World Cup mission in the UK on a mixed note. It occupied the eighth place despite a superb performance by its ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The Tigers will be playing three One-Day Internationals in Sri Lanka and they will be back on August 01. All matches will be a day-night affair and those will be held in Colombo.

Shakib Al Hasan will miss the matches of Sri Lanka, as after an exhausting World Cup, he requested leave. Without him, Bangladesh will be missing its main strength. But it will be good as other players will feel compelled to fill his void.

Shakib struck two wonderful centuries and five half-centuries in the World Cup. He ended up with 606 runs at an average of 86.57 and also picked up 11 wickets.

I hope Tamim will be back in form on this tour.
