Trap of the house-owner

We are shocked to learn three members of a family died from electrocution when they came in contact with an electrified wire in Rangpur city on Friday.

Newspapers report that the owner of the house electrified the grill of the rooftop to prevent theft. Tania and her daughter, living in the same building as tenants, went to the rooftop of the building to collect clothes around noon when it started to rain. The two were electrocuted as soon as they touched the clothes hanged on a metal wire. Tania's mother went there to rescue them and she was also electrocuted.

To stop theft, one does not have any right to electrify the grill. The owner of the house has rightly been taken into custody.

We all should be more cautious. We should be careful while hanging wet clothes on the wire of the rooftop. We need to check if there is any electric wire around or on the rooftop.
