CA greets Christian community

Security has been tightened across the country, particularly in the capital, ahead of Christmas Day, the largest religious festival of the Christian community, to be celebrated today (Thursday) in the country as elsewhere in the world, reports BSS.
Home Adviser Lieutenant-General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said the government took all necessary measures to allow Christians to celebrate Christmas with due religious fervour and in a festive environment.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas Day.
In a message on the eve of the day, he said Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity, was born in Bethlehem on this day.
