Fire burns 28,000 acres of reserve forest at Teknaf

COX'S BAZAR, Mar 8: A devastating fire burnt about 28,000 acres of government reserve forest to ashes in Teknaf upazila on Thursday. Sources said the fire originated from the 'Noor Ahmeder Ghona' forest land, on the western side of Teknaf Upazila Parishad, around 2:00 pm. When contacted, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Teknaf Pranoy Chakma said a large number of trees were burnt to ashes in the fire.
