Habibur Rahman resigns as SBAC MD

Habibur Rahman, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce (SBAC) Bank, has resigned on personal grounds.

He submitted his resignation to Md Moklesur Rahman, chairman of the bank, at a board meeting on Sunday, a senior official of the private commercial bank told the Financial Express on Monday.

The board has accepted his resignation, the official said, adding that Habibur Rahman has resigned eight months before the end of his term.

Habibur Rahman joined the bank as MD and CEO in December 2022 for a three-year tenure.
