Heatwave may continue -

FE REPORT | April 26, 2025 00:00:00

The mild-to-moderate heatwave, which was sweeping through different parts of the country on Friday, is likely to continue, according to the Met office.

The heatwave swept across Rajshahi division and Tangail, Manikganj, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Jashore and Chuadanga districts.

The country's highest temperature of 39.0° C was recorded in Rajshahi. It may continue to increase today.

However, Dhaka's temperature decreased slightly with a chance of rain tomorrow, which may reduce the scorching heat.

Dhaka's highest temperature was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius.

The Met office forecasts that rain or thundershowers with lightning strikes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
